Impactful Workshop on ‘WIDERA Excellence Hubs: MED and SEE Region’

The ‘WIDERA Excellence Hubs: MED and SEE Region’ online Workshop, held on 20th February 2024, by the MetaCities Excellence Hub and NCP_WIDERA.NET, marked a significant milestone in fostering collaboration and showcasing the impactful work of EU-funded Excellence Hubs within the WIDERA program of Horizon Europe.

The Workshop showcased insightful presentations from nearly all funded projects, focusing on the key aspects of the Excellence Hubs call. Participants had the chance to discuss good practices and innovative approaches to fostering entrepreneurial and coherent R&I place-based ecosystems.

A notable feature of the workshop was the participation and invaluable contribution of Joerg Niehoff, Deputy Head of Unit for ERA Governance and Implementation at the European Commission.

The Workshop featured active participation from several Excellence Hubs, including MetaCities, VELES, COALition, EXCEL4MED, Carbonica, SeaTecHub, CHAngeing, SolarHub, inno2mare, and GlaCerHub.

Each Hub brought forth unique perspectives and contributions, emphasizing the diversity and innovation inherent within the Excellence Hubs network. Best practices were shared and opportunities for future collaboration were explored, reaffirming the Excellence Hubs commitment to driving positive change within their respective fields.
