The power of 5G

Alexandros Tarnaris (Marketing & Communications Director,
Intracom Telecom)

The power of 5G wireless networks is related to the need for more capacity. Among the frequencies that arouse the global interest in 5G networks, which has also been licensed from the Greek regulator, are the 24/26/28 GHz frequencies, which provide new broadband services to homes and businesses with 5G connectivity speeds. However, as businesses and organizations continue to need speeds in excess of 5G, providers are now looking at millimeter wireless point-to-point technology in band E (71-76, 81-86 GHz) as an alternative to fiber optics. Intracom Telecom has already developed both, the 5th generation of the point-to-Multipoint FWA platform, in the 24/26/28 GHz bands, which allows connectivity with Gigabit performance per subscriber, as well as a complete portfolio of solutions in V and E bands, offering speeds up to 30 Gbps.

In addition to network systems, the 5G era is also related to digitalization and aims to streamline operations, empower synergies & added value creation, generate new revenue streams for the providers & enable unique new services to end-users. Based on the deep knowledge of telecom networking, IoT, AI & NFV technologies, Intracom Telecom offers a wide range of solutions contributing substantially to the digital transformation and modernization of telecom operators, utilities, large financial/insurance enterprises and Local Government bodies.
