Applications can now 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 through APIs and dynamically request the connectivity they need in 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲!
This creates 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 from emergency services receiving prioritized connectivity during critical situations, to smart factories enabling real-time automation, cloud gaming platforms requesting ultra-low latency, and smart ports and logistics systems dynamically optimizing connectivity for autonomous operations.
This is an important step towards more intelligent and programmable 5G networks, achieved in a real operational environment – not in simulation.
