We’re launching our new series titled p-NET Insights Now, which will be dedicated to sharing timely updates and behind-the-scenes progress from our most innovative research and lab work. Through this series, we’ll explore emerging technologies transforming connectivity – starting with one of the most promising advancements in next-generation networking.
p-NET is now testing Low Latency, Low Loss, Scalable (L4S) networking across our 5G Standalone lab environment. L4S is rapidly gaining attention as a key innovation for 5G and beyond, aiming to deliver ultra-low latency and zero congestion loss through a modernized approach to traffic management.
While L4S adoption is just beginning in fixed networks, p-NET is helping drive this evolution into the 5G Standalone domain, assessing its end-to-end performance from the radio layer to the edge.
Why L4S Matters
Real-time responsiveness for XR, digital twins, industrial control, and other latency-critical applications
Smoother, delay-free streaming and interactive user experiences
Predictable performance across slices and network partitions
At p-NET, we’re integrating L4S throughout our 5G Standalone setup to evaluate its true impact on both application performance and overall network behavior.
Stay tuned for the next “p-NET Insights Now” update, where we’ll share early findings from our L4S testing!
