p-NET’s Role

As co-organiser, p-NET is committed to:

  • Bringing together innovators, regulators, and businesses to present and showcase practical solutions.
  • Sharing expertise from our active involvement in EU-funded projects and telecommunications infrastructures and services.
  • Helping to ensure that Greece – and Europe as a whole – remains at the forefront of secure, resilient network development.

Why this Workshop matters

In today’s digital era, the threat landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and the attack surface has never been wider. Ongoing policy initiatives, alongside research
and innovation efforts, are therefore crucial in Europe’s ambition towards contributing to a Trustworthy Certified Digital Valley. Cyber security and resilience certification solutions
are essential for gaining market trust, customer confidence, and competitive advantage. The rollout of 5G and beyond smart networks has further expanded vulnerabilities
across critical infrastructure such as healthcare, transportation, energy, as well as public protection and disaster relief. As a result, many of the essential services we rely on
have become more exposed than ever.

Based on the above, it is more important than ever to contribute to solutions that ensure:

  • Robust security for advanced network architectures
  • Resilience in the face of emerging threats – including those empowered by AI
  • Certified trustworthiness in technologies used and products delivered by
businesses (especially SMEs) and public institutions
  • Compliance with EU regulatory frameworks, including the Cybersecurity Act, EUCC, and the upcoming Cyber Resilience Act

The workshop will be delivered by representatives of four EU-funded Cybersecurity projects – NATWORK, SAND5G, CURIUM, and CUSTODES – focusing on the challenges and solutions above.

Who should attend?

This workshop is especially relevant to:

  • Telecom operators, networking providers, and infrastructure vendors
  • SMEs offering services or products in the telecom / network security space
  • Regulators, policymakers, public authorities overseeing national or regional cybersecurity strategy
  • Researchers and innovators working on network security, 5G/6G, IoT, etc.
  • Anyone interested in understanding how the cybersecurity regulatory landscape is evolving, and how to meet those requirements

All projects will deliver presentations and demonstrations/hands-on sessions of their services and tools.
